100 young people at Spotlight help shape the future of youth services for Tower Hamlets Hackathon event.

We were thrilled to host Tower Hamlets Council’s incredible Hackathon event for over 100 young people – with a fantastic number of 70 young people attending the workshops. The event was aimed at understanding the vision young people have for their future youth services, and we feel a huge sense of pride for the inspiring ideas everyone in attendance shared with the Council.

The Hackathon provided an excellent platform for young people to express their thoughts and ideas. The ideas that flowed were meaningful and thought-provoking. Attendees also had the opportunity to use VR headsets to delve into immersive conversations and generate creative and useful ideas to shape the next 10 years of youth services locally.

At Spotlight, our core value is to be youth-led. Our service is shaped by youth voice and we believe in empowering young people to shape their own futures.

The young people in attendance were thrilled to add their vision to this consultation, and we all look forward to hearing the outcome of this consultation and seeing the impact of these conversations on youth services in Tower Hamlets.
