Community Heroes Go Green Transforming Local Community Allotment

Spotlight young volunteers got their green fingers ready on 10th April, to help out in a local community allotment in Zetland Gardens during Easter half-term. With combined manpower, they spruced up the garden by tidying, weeding and planting seeds. In just little over 2 hours, they transformed the community garden, making it more attractive, safer and cleaner. Local residents who own the plots, came to see the results and thanked the young volunteers for their efforts.

We couldn’t have done it without Clyo & John (Poplar HARCA Volunteers), who helped coordinate the Garden Project and a big thank you to our helpful Spotlight adult volunteers and who also got involved to lend a hand!
