We’ve gathered together all the latest opportunities for young people out there to give you skills, enhance your CV and keep you busy:

New Opportunities for young people: 

LMA are offering multiple roles for 21-24 year olds living in London through the Kickstart scheme. The roles include:  

• Administration Support Assistants (x2) 
• Social Content Support Assistants (x2) 
• Student Engagement Support Assistants (x2) 
• Technical Support Assistants (x2)

Raw Sessions is a multimedia project broken down into three main areas: Video-Production, Sound Engineering, and Graphic Design. This is a beginner-level project designed for young people age 14-19 to plan and create their own original content. Whether you want to be a director, producer, sound engineer or graphic designer, Raw Sessions is the perfect course for you! You can sign up to Raw Sessions here

Are you looking to start a career in civil engineering? Are you passionate about sustainability? This could be the role for you! You will work towards achieving Engineering Technician membership with the Institution of Civil Engineers at the end of the apprenticeship, studying towards an Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Civil Engineering for Technicians (ICE). Yunus & Youth are looking for young social entrepreneurs with an early-stage social business to join their fellowship programme.  The programme is free and the application season is now open for the seventh global cohort. It is comprised of online training, mentors from Fortune 500 companies and a final competition to pitch to investors. Apply here Deadline: Sunday 30 June.

The Skills Toolkit | Find a course | National Careers Service are offering you the chance to improve or learn new skills during this third and (hopefully) final lockdown! The National Careers Service has given access to FREE courses to help individuals to learn new skills, such as Practical Maths, Computer Essentials, Coding, and more.

The BFI Future Film Festival – Film Freeway is now open for submissions! Are you 16-25? Do you have a short film in any genre, 10 minutes or under in length. The film needs to have been produced in the last two years and be an interesting and original concept, with good production values and an entertaining subject matter. Selected films will screen at BFI Future Film Festival 2022 and have the chance to win one of our 10 BFI Future Film Festival awards, which include cash prizes, mentoring and kit. National Citizen Service (NCS) is an opportunity for young people aged 16-17 to take part in a 2-Week Summer programme. It is an opportunity to take part in activities and teamwork and start building new friendships, to learn life skills and take part in workshops to develop employability skills, independent living skills, and public speaking.
